it all depends what kind of music you plan listening too... For me, some rap song can easily overpower my front stage to the point i don't hear the music at all and rock song with the same settings play really nice and loud... What i am trying to say is that some recording boost the low so much that you can forget about the music, example in the Young Jeezy, Thug Motivation 101 (loud album) they boosted the level so much that you can hear distortion in the voice at low volume...
Also, the Sony deck are OK for the price, not the best but they are in the average zone. The only complain i have about them is that the CD pickup is more sensible to vibration.

Even tho I may have other preferences in certains areas of the system, I'm sure we can get it kickin'.......I would also agree with the need to amplify your comps and coaxes, the deck amp simply won't do it for you up against a kilowatt of bass......
Shall I clear a lane in the driveway, Nick?.....

You'll need the following:
(A few obvious things)
Remote Wire
Speaker Wire
Fuse Holder
Distribution Block perhaps.
Ring Terminals (Big 3)
I would recommend a second amp to get the full potential out of your speakers. That will really bring them to life.
Cap - NO.
I believe that amp will work fine for that sub.
Not interested in doing the install yourself? I quite enjoyed installing my own and had a greater feeling knowing I did it myself. There are plenty of people on these boards that would be willing to give you hand.

You may want to opt for the distro block as well, as true zero gauge may not fit into the PDX very well (4awg will work great)... also some rca's if you don't have them yet that is. Maybe turn the PDX's subsonic filter on, where did you get the specs for those boxes?
If you have some extra zero gauge leftover, it would be cool to redo the factory ground under the hood too
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Rino
