Hex Terminals...
#1
I got this old Punch 50.1 from 1998... rated at 100W RMS @ 2 ohms but it comfortably does around 350W RMS @ 1 ohm so I think it's worth it for me to fix it.
It has double terminals... (double power, double ground). The threading on some of the terminals themselves is somewhat stripped/deformed...
I'm wondering if I could rethread the terminal to fit something else rather than an hex bolt, maybe something with a Philips head for convenience and since the old threading is useless for most of the terminals. I've been suggested to use tapping bits to do this...
Has anybody else done this before? How durable is the thread that you carve out in the long run?

I got some new terminals from http://www.freemanscarstereo.com/ for my old Punch 200, then got Radio Shack to put them in for me. That is one option.
