hey everyone, got a question on the t3-1000d i just picked up

hey everyone, here from florida. got one of these amps at a great price, gonna be installing it this weekend. wanted to know about wiring these up, just wanna make sure i have it right the first time. i'm running two MA Audio ma120xe dvc 4ohm subs. wired in series then one speaker to each of the two sets of terminals on the amp. this will result in a 2ohm load on the amp correct? and if run in the bridged position on the amp then it would result in a 4 ohm load correct? can anyone post up pics of how they have they setup wired. i've never run across an amp like these with having this many terminals for a mono amp. you can see the pic what i'm talking about. thanks for looking everyone.

one last question too, which way will i get the most power to the subs?

this is how you should hook it up. wire the individual subs in paralelle. which will make each sub 2 ohms, then wire those in series. which will make a final load of 4 ohms. Now hook the two wires to the two out side terminals. that will give you the most power.

you can run at 2ohms stereo or 4ohms bridged...

thats more amp then those subs can handle so be carefull... I smoked a pair with a 1500 watt amp and about an hour of hard poundage...

yeah i know about the amp being too much, gonna replace the subs at some point but will be a little while. got to finish payin for all stuff i've gotten recently. thanks for the quick replies too everyone.

andreman, do you have experience with these amps? opinions? looking at the specs on this amp and the subs i think i am just gonna go with the 2ohm stereo setup. think the subs might last longer that way LOL

Its not a stereo amp, the terminals are bridged inside so putting two 2ohm loads on the terminals in a "Stereo" configuration will drop it down to 1ohm and then magic smoke will appear.

^ I dunno.... I think you've delt with these amps but what I saw online was:

Output Power at 13.8V:
2 x 530W @ 4 ohms stereo (65A)
1 x 1800W @ 4 ohms mono (105A)
2 x 800W @ 2 ohms stereo (98A)
1 x 2700W @ 2 ohms mono (210A)

Ratings don't neassarilly make much sense to me but from the pic of the amp posted you can see how the channels bridge up......... no way thats internal if the pic is accurate........ the bridged connection is in series between hot terminals!

notice it makes 2700 watts while only drawing 210 amps from a 13.8 volt system. Making it 93% efficient :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs:

i'm gonna run two 4ohm dvc's to the "stereo" terminals on the amp.
