High level inputs or Line Level converter?

Hello all,

First post here.

I own a 2007 Hyundai Sonata with the factory system. I don't want to replace the factory CD/XM player and it doesn't have pre-outs. Simply the high level speaker outputs.

If I want to hook up an amp to drive new front components and a single 10" sub, would I get better quality from a Line level converter into the RCA inputs of an amp or would I be better off using the high level inputs of an MTX TC4004 with the smart engage technology? I'm hoping the speaker inputs will sound fine cause I don't feel like pulling the dash off and running a remote line.

Any thoughts? I'm not looking for competition sound but I am coming from Dual JL 12W3's and JL components with Precision Power amps.

Cheers!

It do not have a big difference, the only thing you have to check, is to conect properly. + and -, because if you invert one you will lose bass response...What i always do, when a client want this, is to use 4 original speakers in parallel with channels 1 and 2, and the bass to the 3 and 4 channel.
In this way you can fade the sound, so it can be more balaced. You can get the remot wire, from the fuse box.
