High sensitivity subs?
 

So I'm toying with the idea of adding some more bottom end to my stock Infinity system in the Jeep. I want to keep costs down since I have larger plans for down the road, but for now the stock 8" just doesn't quite cut it.

I have room under the rear seat for either an 8" or 10" in a sealed truck wedge type box. I have an old Coustic amp kicking around that'll give me 110 watts running at 4 ohms bridged mono. What would you guys suggest? I'm kind of out of the car audio loop these days, so I'm not sure what would be a decently sensitive sub since I don't have a ton of power to play with.

havent see anything that is over 90 for an 8 or 10 yet lol

audiobahn alumapro is actually supposed to be a nice sub with 93db sensitivity

IIRC, the higher the efficiency of a sub, the larger the enclosure required to produce low bass.

I'd focus on getting a suggestion from the more product knowledgeable members here on a sub that meets your needs:
small sealed box (my assumption as you state it's going under the rear seat) w limited power available
as opposed to worrying about the sensitivity rating only.

Ok, that works for me, since I really do just need to know what'll work well in a small sealed enclosure with limited power. I just figured sensitivity was a good place to start since my old subs were up there in sensitivity and pounded with 100ish watts, but they were also in a large ported enclosure.

I didn't realize that more sensitive subs required larger enclosures to perform properly...looks like I learned something today :)

I just checked out that sub, and the reviews on it seem pretty good. I'm thinking it may even be worth my time to just replace the stock Infinity sub with this one in the stock enclosure, but I'm not quite sure what the mounting depth of it is.

Now this may seem like a silly question, but is B or C the mounting depth?

A is side to side B is the mounting hole and C is the the depth

Sensitivity of 96 according to them.
And it suggest to go with a .75 cubic foot sealed box.

ONly real problem is you would be severly underpowering it.
