Hey guys, I have a hissing in my front right speaker that is noticable when I turn the volume down below 15.... Any ideas on what I should be checking for to see whats causing it???

Usually hiss = gain too high.

even if its only in 1 speaker???

Possible crappy left/right bias. Get the amp checked out or swap it in case the gains aren't too high. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but it's a possibility.

Sometimes trouble shooting is figuring out where the problem isn’t located as much as it is figuring out where it is

Swap your speaker wires on the amp left to right, right to left, chances are that the noise will still be there. If it is not then you may have a faulty channel in the amp. If the sound is still there (I expect it is) swap the speaker wires back to original, next swap the rca cables left to righ, right to left, is the sound there or not. I expect it will be, if it is not, you may have a cd player or rca cable problem, if it is there it is an amplifier problem. Check the gain, it may be too high.
Another possibility is that if you are using component speakers, the crossover may be inducting noise into the circuit, move the crossover away from wherever it is mounted.
You generally hear noise from the right side of the car as the speaker there has a direct path to your ear, your driver side speaker usually would have a direct path to your ankle or waist, put your head down in front of that speaker to check for noise. Hope this helps.
