Hooking up Alpine LCD unit to Ebrake

To watch dvds it says to hook it up to the handbrake and footbrake.

We want to bypass this and wondering if the signal for these wires its a 12v source or ground?

Anyone made a switch to bypass this so you dont need to have the ebrake on to watch dvds etc?

Matt if u want the bypass go on ebay and get a 'Alpine Black Box' there are plenty on ebay, makesure u get the right one for your deck.

i think its like 2 or 3 wires, thats it. it should come with instructions.

it would be easy enough to build a circuit to do that for you too.
