How can I measure my box?

Hey, I got my box for free from someone that was toting a pair of blown JL's in it (besides the point). Therfore I don't know the specs, how can I go about measuring it?

I would say to yell in it, perhaps "man that's a big box, big box". If it echoes like that you indeed have a huge box and need to run away from it for fear of losing your manhood in it. It has had every hotdog in the supermarket thrown down the hallway at it. Aside from that, a simple measuring tool like a tape measure will give you the start that you need.

L x W x H in inches. 1728 cubic inches = 1 cubic foot. Measure the inside dimensions. This is based on a rectangular or square shaped enclosure. There are other formula's for odd shaped boxes.

Nice find! If all else fails you can break the shape into several smaller/easier shapes and then total them together.

According to the maufacturer's specs,
Minimum Sealed Box Volume 0.35 cubic feet
Maximum Sealed Box Volume 0.5 cubic feet
Minimum Ported Box Volume 0.65 cubic feet
Maximum Ported Box Volume 1.0 cubic feet

If the box measures in those perameters, you should be fine. If it's a little large you could add solid filler or cut some off the bottom/back and put on a replacement panel to get it down to size. Hopefully it's at least 3/4" MDF, and has solid joints (i.e. the box is not flexy)
