How to get cleanest sound from a Sat. Radio?

Anyone have any tips on how to get the best possible reception from a plug and play in a truck, I use the built in FM transmitter but the signal comes in with quite abit of static at times. Im on a clear frequency, would running a cable from the Aux out on the XM helpout? The deck doesn't have an AUX input but Id be willing to change that if the change would be that drastic.

Suggestions?

Yes, audio out into aux in on the deck makes a big difference. I had static on mine till I did that.

Yes it would make a very large difference. It also depends on your antenna. Basic stuff bro.

XM and sirius both sell hard wired FM modulators, quick and easy fit, and cheaper than an aux-in adapter.

^ Agreed.

It's easy man - unplug antenna from deck, plug into box, plug box back into deck. The box gets signal either from the Sat antenna or the Sat audio out depending on which one you get.

Even a meat-head can do it - you should only have minor problems

Ya i did the same-hook up a headphone jack(stereo plug) into your auxillary on the back of your deck to the audio out on the sirius unit if you have it and its pretty damn clear!!
