How many watts are you running on your Daily driver?

I'm just curious to know what everyone is running for their daily driver cars and how long then listen to it, at what volume?

i recently blew my subs, or rather the tinsel wires broke. (they are sending me free parts to fix it though, wicked company (mach 5 audio/Innovative Sound Technologies). i am debating on downgrading for the sake of my hearing. i currently run 2000 watts and am listening for 15-20 minutes at a time at 120db +/- 20db.

I like to run around 1k-1.5k for my subs and around 300-500 for my front stage but that will be expanding soon. just a preference but i enjoy low end more than midbass. I typically can listen on long trips up to 4 hours at over 80% volume on my head unit. now lately seems that its only increasing aka im losing some hearing lol

For some reason i dont listen to music below 70% volume when im on my own in the car which is pretty much the majority of the time. if my gf is around i dont listen virtually at all because she doesn't quite have a tolerance like i do. I dont find below 50% volume "entertaining" almost boring... just my opinion.

well the other thing is i would like to get some trunk space back, currently i have none and have to put the back seats down for airflow for the amp during the summer. right now it's ALL bass, everything else is stock. which is what i want, but it might be nice to drop to 1000 then get some more quality bass.

my normal que to stop listening to music is when my ears hurt.

ha yes thats always a good indication to turn it down... and if you invest in your front stage that listeners fatigue wont happen with high quality speakers. i love my bass to man its hard to give up! trunk space tends to be a major issue. my solution to this is a) another vehicle which is least practical or b) a smaller sub or c) a ton of midbass. hard to think of my life without bass though.. trunk space or not i cant give it up!

If you really enjoy bass, don't downgrade, you'll only miss it. I still miss my old VW for the bass it had.

I know the louder I make my system, the more I want more. Of course, I used to listen to 145+dB daily for anywhere up to 3 hours continuous and still wanted more. Now the major downside for me is that I only get about 10-15 mins a day to really bang on it (summer will increase to ~30mins/day) and I'm too cheap to upgrade the power supply in my Civic (since I'm building my Celica), so upgrading power output is a bad idea. Plus the dual 12's I have now is the loudest I've been since 2004 so I can't really complain.
