^ With all the trading and changing equipment, money does get lost that's for sure.

I know I have baught a lot of stuff that I ended up selling before I even used it to purchase something else.

All the ultimate amps (Although I might use 2 of them after all), a beyond audio 18inch sub,the 4inch dayton rs speakers, a couple of RF amps, cadence amp ect... it goes on and on.

How many thousands per build, only to gut it and start over, repaint car, only to gut it an start over, to fix the AC condenser with new plumbing, to reupholster, to put in quartersawn oak to display US AMPS circuit boards, to re-carpet, to dynamat to rebuild, to buy new equipment, to rewire due to system noise, sell the US Amp tube gear, then to rebuild sub box with new quartersawn oak, rewire with stoopid expensive RCA and speaker cable spliced into Zapco 'balanced' system only to rebuild with amps in rear seat (old school fold down), new AC compressor converted to new earth friendly 'freon'...... it is best NO TO ASK how much especially if my wife were to see this thread

and to ultimately sell the car for $300 US (no car audio electronics left in the car except a pair of Dynaudio mids that were tooooooo hard to get out.)

sound familiar?

I now have a half dozen tweeter pairs and mids sitting around, amps, woofers and a Mac HU in my living room as proof of my folly

I was just over to see my carpenter/ wood craftsman about my SVT build using furniture grade oak plywood (F*** the Norwegian birch plywood).... cant wait to get started with all new equipment

You notice how he has now added his info in his sig line and totally ignoring the rules of this forum? I call a spade a spade. I get hammered with e-mails, pm's, msn's from spammers wanting me to sell their products all the time, way more than any average consumer could ever think for that matter.

Having had my system stolen once in the past, there's no way in hell I'd ever willingly post up how much (or how little) my gear is worth, or give anyone a list of what's in my car. It's like willingly posting up a public stereo menu for thieves to chose what's worth going after next.
Especially when it doesn't appear to difficult to find out who people are online and ultimately an address.
Just my $0.02. I hate these "how much have you spent threads".
