I am stunned that that little computer power supply didn't fry as soon as you let it loose!

That's totally cool!

^^^I had comp supply trying to run a ****ty audiobahn amp and it wouldn't do anything to run it, then again it was liek a 200 watt supply.

nice man. I only got my deck to work on a computer power supply and it didn't even get all the amps it need and it only need 16A because of that it sounded pretty sad...but and ways good job

I wish I had kept my APX200.2 ...

You really don't need much ..

I have about 4 old AT power supplies. Far more than enough to power a deck, even an amplifier.

Its nice to have the new ATX ones since they have a resetable fuse/temperature turn off so that you don't fry them!

but in theory 400W computer power supply
P = IV, I = 400/12 = 33.3 AMPS
but of course the effiency and such.

My friend is running his JBL600.1 on a 400 watt power supply that claims to put out 15A@12 volts, my supply claims 20A.

stu

you need a new hobby man

Big power supplys are fun. I have three 90A supplies, I can pop the circuit breakers out in the garage with most big amplifiers...hehehe..

Nice work!
