HU laser clean

Hey guys,
sorry I have lots of questions these days, but I seem to have problems popping up these days!
I tend to get some signal loss in my speakers and it is happening at random. Sounds like static or something like that. Could it be a laser going? how are you supposed to clean that thing.
I had a coil break in one of my crossovers in 1 door and i got it soldered back because i lost sound in that door...could it be another coil going or bad connexion?
Thanks

I bought this disc, I think it was RCA or Memorex from Zellers or Wallmart or something, which was designed to clean lazers in car audio applications. It was basicly a cd with a couple of fine brushes on the bottom. You just stuck it in and played it for a few seconds. I don't know if it really did much, I used it a couple times trying to figure out what was wrong with my old deck, but it turned out it was just a POS and I needed a new one.

does that go in a slot cd player though?

Ya it was designed for front load in dash CD players.

had a similar sound from a new Alpine unit, it would make kinda like a static pop sound while raising volume fast. after much labour checking all connections and speakers I went to the store and exchanged the deck. The second one is great and does not make any sounds.
