HU to replace 9887

okay so last weekend i got a new hu a 9887, and well im going to go back to the shop and see if im able to exchange for another unit, i had a pio-400ub and with the alpine the sound was better but i just have such a hassle trying to tune everything i can never get anything to sound good at all, so tomorow im able ot get the car in a garage and gonna try for a couple hours to set things again but if i still have problems with the deck i would be looking for something else hows the pioneer 710bt? it looks nice it has a 7band eq iirc, looks nice has the bt and ipod cable all included. any other options out there? im open to other options but being i had success with my old pioneer id like another, maybe the 800/880prs if the shop can get one for me. any input is appreciated guys

What are you looking for the deck to do? While MR2NR is absolutely right, the CDA9887 is definetly no slouch. Whether the Eclipse will be simpler or not I'm not so sure one is better than the other.... What are you trying to achieve?

i dont like the look of the eclipses.or i could have gotten one already from the shop, a decent eq, previous pioneer had a 3band irrc and i thought it was nice and easy for me so the 7 band 710bt should be a nice jump. goood ipod interface and capable of charging iphone or the new ipods as the 9887 isnt able to without another stupid adapter. since laws are changing bt is a must, 9887 looks great and is probbaly a good deck but from a weeks use i just get very angry with it and would very much go back to pioneer only problems with them is the whole rca ground issue but that can be resolved by not playing with the rcas when the hu has power. so thats no issue

Considering that you should not be looking at the cd player while you drive and the cd player is there for performance first and looks last, try one and see how you like it. The looks will grow on you.

yes, i have it appears to be a nice unit, but the thing is getting a eclipse or kenwood i would have to wait to get one shipped and be without a hu in the car for a week not wanting to do that at all thats a hard sacrifice to make

Too bad you left it so late, I could have air shipped the Eclipse to you and you would have had it overnight. I think Canada Post to you would be about 4 business days for shipping, Purolator air is overnight but at a premium for sure.

yes then i would have to go to the shop, chat with them return the deck if i even can and then purchase online with you, everyhting will be done with the shop to make things a little less hassle free. nothing against you mr2nr just the decks been bought through the shop so best if i just deal with it there, but i would really like to hear peoples opinions on the pioneer 710bt
