HU for Travel Trailer

I've been out of the car stereo world for 15+ years, and I would like the advice of those that are much more current than I am.

I feel like I have some unique requirements for a stereo in my Toy Hauler. I have searched around I'm not sure which deck would best satisfy my needs.

1. Need to be able to stream audio via bluetooth to the deck. Kids with their i device etc.
2. Play mp3's from a usb drive (usb port on deck). Bring my collection along.
3. Have a strong FM module (are boosters still a thing?) and then have the scan functionality to find any station that might come in from the area.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Go to the Crutchfied.com website, and ask the representative for some recommendations. Email them and you will get a prompt reply. There are many moderately price HU that will fit your needs. I have a JVC unit. As it relates to the FM Boster, why not get one with satellite radio capabilities. Especially if its for a travel trailer. Also recommend one with a DVD player.

Are you using an external amplifier?

Just my suggestions.

Thanks for the input. I had thought about satellite, but I don't care enough to pay the monthly fees. Already have DVD on the TV, and will probably watch more movies off a usb hard drive than anything else.
I have recently been thinking about sending something to crutchfield, but wasn't sure who (experience level) might receive and answer my questions.
Not using an external amp (I assume you are talking for speakers and not antenna)

Which JVC head unit are you referring to and how do you like the way it handles playing mp3 off the usb?

thanks for the input!!

Thanks for the additional information. Yes, I was referring to amplifier for speakers. In my opinion, sounds much better than factory amp or amp in head unit. I have the JVC KW-AV61BT Head unit.
90 percent of my time in the car is spent listening to music on the USB flash drive. Other 10 percent on satellite. I fell in love with the USB function- easy to find music, advance tracks and repeat. So convenient. And the music sounds good. Good luck in your search.
