Cool I improvised --> ¤-PICTURES-¤

Right so, I have two runs of zero guage and I was looking at it then I would look at my carpet and back at my zero guage until I realized that even if it was possible I did not want to run my wire under the carpet. SO! I thought I would try running it under the vehicle. Luckily one of my friends has a pit that I could drive over and set it all up. I first stopped at ACE and picked up a crap load of zipties and two 3/4" grommets. So, here is my new car and the pics of installing my battery and the power n' ground wire.

(Lol, don't laugh at the car either)

EDIT!!! I have a question, I will have to run the rca's and speaker wire under the carpet so I do indeed have to take out all my seats but I was wondering if there is any problem with having half of the rca's wound up in a circle hidden behind the box. I have 20 foot long rca's for my blazer meaning I have about an extra 7 or 8 feet of rca rolled up in a ball. Is this bad for any reason?

Drilled the holes and put in grommets. I still have to seal around the wire though.

What could go wrong with this? I think I will do this instead of ripping out my carpet when I wire my car.

I personally would have used wire loom to cover all the wire for added protection as after awhile heat & cold will eventually cause the shielding to crack.
.. your question on the 20ft rca's...having 7ft wound up will just be a major waste basically the shorter the cable the stronger the signal...& vice versa.

I thought coiling up rca,s could cause them to act as a low pass filter . I could be wrong though . I definetly agree about using shielding on the cables under the car .

We did this to Dustin's VW at the battery shop a couple years ago. Only it was six runs of 2/0 welding cable...

And being a VW, there was little to no rails to run it along, so we cut some PVC pipe lengthwise, and screwed that up to the cables to protect them (two groups of three in each halfpipe).

Worked awesome. I might have some pics hiding somewhere, I'll try to find them.

BTW, those zip ties are only gonna last a season or two, being exposed to the elements like that. Get some screw in wire holders or something better, before the problems start.

Holy crud, the half pipe thing is a friggen great idea. And thanks for the heads up about the zip ties. I will have to keep an eye on them until I can hook them up with something better.

couldn't you have run the wire all on the left side? so you wouldn't of had to crose the downpipe? just a suggestion, cause it gets kinda hot over there.. lol

anyways, nice ride, i know of a guy on another forum has one of those, and a couple stereo integrity mag 12s pullin 150's..

Apart from it all looking confusing and the wires running so dangerously close across the exhaust, it looks......okay.

Where is the ANL fuse holder?
Why is the ground wire also red?
Is the ground wire running from the front to back, too?
