It'd be interesting to see the difference on a 'scope, with and without a cap.
I'd be willing to bet that on most amps, the peaks would be cleaner and higher, especially on the tail end.

Since most music has a dynamic range of at least 30dB, (1000 times the power between the soft and loud), and it's the top 3dB that concerns us (which is a very small percentage, time wise) I would be hedging towards the fact that a few extra milliseconds of 14.4 volts would make a difference.

Anyone here have a scope, a mike, and some time to kill?

And I use the same type of promise when I sell subsonic filters....If your ported box doesn't sound cleaner with one, c'mon back for a refund.

I can't see my system ever having a power cap, that being said you can't beat that deal...
