I need help choosing a subwoofer
I have a pioneer gm-6604 amp. its a 760W max 4 ch amplifier. I want to install an 1000w pioneer tsw311 sub. My question is will this amp work on this sub or is the sub is too powerful for it?

Powerful sub
Well some will argue but as long as the signal is clean and your not clipping then you can't really underpower the sub however prolonged underpowering and clipping could cause damage.

under powering usually causes amp clipping when trying to get the maximum output
out of it ... it's not hard to damage a coil with extended clipping I prefer to over power my subs a little .... having extra head room makes for some snappy bass and a clean signal |
