Well I'm looking for a new amp. What subs? I bought them second hand, and I was told they were designed (possibly built) by "Perfect Tones" in Ontario.
Of hat I know, they use the magnet and basket of a JL W3, and are single 4 ohm. I also know that running about 450 watts to one of them, isn't good.

So I'm in need of a new amp, if you guys have any recommendations, some information on the woofers, if anyone here knows anything about them, and hopefully the T.S. perimeters. Here's a couple of pictures of them.

it somewhat resembles a MTX Thunder 4000 series(older series) subwoofer...prob abt 200rms - 250rms....why don't u try an mtx class D 6500D...500rms at 12.5V and 750 at 14.4V i think...

 

I've actually been looking at that one on ebay.. I also wouldnt mind a Hifonics Titan, the 1000 watt one.. I cant remember the model.

 

Well by the looks of things, I'll be getting an Alpine MRD-1005

 

Perfect Tones did sell a driver identical to that. Contact them for the specs. It was a low power driver with a rating of ~250-300rms IIRC so a MRD-1005 would be a bit overkill but as long as it is set up correctly it'll be a fine choice.

 

That would be the driver sold at Perfect Tones. They bought them from me. It was a good woofer for the price $50 or so. I should still have the specs if you need them.
