If you have any outside noise when imprinting.......Bass levels are very low.I tune mine at the shop with everything of (ovehead balast lights and all)I also set my x-over to the sub on the amp very low and turn the gain and x-over poing up when im done.

Keep in mind when you do this you are creating a huge hump in 20/30/40/50/60/70/80/90/100 HZ area and defeating the purpose of imprint! When the mic hears nothing it digitally re-created those frequencies. Once you return to your proper amp settings - you've basically EQ it to death and/or bass boosted everything! This could damage the sub or midbass in the long run!

Imprint is designed to give an all around audio balance.

Mids can go as low as 50hz or even lower - Yes they may scream but how much is stressed and digitally eq'ed to hell! I personally feel the imprint is a waste since you cannot adjust it period especially for BASSHEADs.

When you introduce no sound in the low frequency area - the imprint "WILL" adjust for the lack of sound in those area and can affect your mids.

Remember - Imprint is Balanced Sound not Boomy sound!

in my previous experience (10-15PDX amps matched with alpine decks) the gain setting must be set on the lower side 1-2v. up the fuses to the next level (I know it sounds crazy but i've talked to the alpine techs and its true, the fuse rating stock is too low). and they need decent power or they go into protection so upgrade battery, wires, etc.. with these amps they either suck or whale. I was not impressed at all when i first got my 3X1.1000 and my 4.150 but after the above fixes, wow. running 3 type x 10's.
