I think my amp is dead :(
I think my amp is dead
This morning when I was driving to school I turned on my deck to listen to some music and my dash lights flickered for a second. My rear speakers and sub kicked in, but not my front comps.
So I turned the deck off thinking that something was screwed. When I got to school I turned on the deck again and popped my trunk open and saw that I had frost on my MMATS amp, plus its power indicator LED wasn’t lit.
Could my amp have shorted out because of the cold weather? I checked out the fuses and they all looked ok.
Any ideas?

If there was frost on the heatsink of your amp, then there is a very good chance there was condensation on the circut board as well. It may have caused a short. I'm not too sure how obvious it will be by sight, but there may be some visible charing or damage to the circut board.
Man, I hate Canadian winters..
Good luck with the amp..
