i think my hu is toast.

its an alpine 9827
last night everthing worked 100%. this morning i jump im my car go to turn the volume up and it goes all the way to max so i try to turn it back down but volume knob wouldnt work to i just took the face plate off. but it back on pressed the power button and then i turned the volume down. thought maby it was just a freak accident.not now none of the buttons on the unit will work.and i cant even get it to turn on, all it will display is the clock and thats it.ive tryied pressing the reset button but that didnt help at all. anyone got anyother ideas?

i bought it about 2 years ago.i do have an extened warrenty on the unit but i cant find the bill. i have the reciepts from all the other items i bought from them but not the one for my hu.should the store have records of this sale?

Most stores down in the states keep track of what you've bought on their computers. If you bought it from a big electronics chain or a big store in general they might have it on file.

ill gonna pull apart the dash later this week to make sure none of the fuses are blown and such and then stop in at the dealer and see what they say.

no one else has had this problem? the hu will display the clock but wont turn or or anything?

it seems that if it's getting power to display the clock, then all the fuses are ok. I'd call the store and see what they say.
