What kinda websites do you guys know of soe buying ic chips and electronic components..
I have a chip to replace on an amp its a SG3525A Ive searched on active components sayal electronics Electrosonic.. etc. Ive found nothing, yet I have found the chip on digi key and a couple other US based sites. Digi key wants to charge a big fee for handling and shipping because the order would be so small. what other sites do you guys know of for ordering this kinda stuff that are based in canada thanks. |
global semiconductor in missisauga has a web site thats easy to search...
Also, If you check out yellow.ca and do search for electronic component suppliers you should find several others in ontario... |

cool thanks Pinhead... after looking around on the site, im still confused, do they ship from Ontario or from the US? They have sales offices in Miss., but when I go to checkout it mentions border delays at customs etc.

they usually ship from from canada or us depending where the parts are warehoused
i have done an order and recieved two different packages form two different warehouses its usually ups air mail delivery and next day i use them for hard to find transistors i can't get from canadian sources i think theres a 5 dollar surcharge on orders under 25 dollars and shippings not to exspensive considering what ups charges nowadays |
did you use the special $8 cdn shipping that the site offers? I saw it as an option
|
i just phone up and order it i usually include 10-15 for shipping for most parts ordered
and the customer pays for it |
I have a couple of those chips leftover.
make me a trade (something you have laying around.. cd/dvd/whatever and I'll send you a pair) they are SG3525AN, not sure what the "N" means. |
Ever tried going to the source and placing an order for samples? Used to do it all the time, they even pay for the shipping.
http://www.onsemi.com/site/products/...G3525A,00.html Piece of advice, say you're an electronics student. I used to get all sorts of crap free when I was in school, including a whack load of microchip programable IC's which could cost upwards of $16ea [ December 08, 2004, 09:45 AM: Message edited by: Big Tom ] |
