Im Retarded! Touched Power TO Amp!

Working in anger i wrestled my big speaker box back into the trunk of my car with the power on, power cord broke and touched the amp oviously sparking. Hooked it back up light turns on on the amp but speakers don't work i assume it's fu**ed.

Basically just askin if its for sure f**ked and is there anything i can check or do?

Theres a amp on sale at visions for $198 Alpine 500W X-Power Mono Amplifier (MRXM50) 300 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (500 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)• 300 watts RMS x 1 at 1 ohm
But i only have shitty 8 guage wire so would this amp be to much for my 8 gauge wiring Also my subs are only 200 watts rms each so this amp might be to much could i turn it down lower bass levels and be safe.

Also it was dark and I acidently punched one of my subs ,hahahahahaha i know, and cracked it, seprated the round middle part on the outside. can this be fixed or just replace.

If i go to replace i saw lots of nice subs like new alpine type r's on ebay for cheap. Are these usualy knock offs??

Thanks for any suggestions
(and yes i am working on my anger issues lol lol lol)

I'm using an Alpine MRP-M500 pretty much the exact same specs run through 8g and it works great. More power than that though I'd be leery about using 8g.

I bought a 3 type-R's off of ebay previously because of their great price. Never had a problem that wasnt my fault to begin with. (too much power/clipping :ohwell: ) Just make sure to get it shipped by USPS or anything but UPS. Other wise be prepared to pay alot in border fees (with UPS).

Still, go check out the local shops. Support those who try to make this their living. Usually you can talk them down close to what you would find on ebay anyways.
