Im in Seoul, South Korea. Advice on amps *PICS inside*

hi guys!
well, im currently in Seoul, and i had a chance to visit and take some pics of a major car audio manufacturer/factory (one of the largest in Korea)

the owner was REALLY kind and let me take as many pics as i wanted, so i went camera crazy.
now not being an amp specialist and really knowing nothing about the actual guts of an amp, i thought you experts out there wouldnt mind taking a close up look of these Class-D mono block competition amps and commneting on the quality. he manufactures these models along with tons more, but these are 2 of his largest.

im trying to find PCB manufacturers that the U.S market brands. Somer are based in korea. the thing is, even though i know the U.S brands which are popular in the amplifier field, its hard to find the actual korean company coz its usually under a different name. im gonna keep looking around some more.if anyone has suggestions or needs some info on an item, i can try and help out too.

i posted on another forum and found out that Clif Designs uses this amp, but i can find only very little on that brand and model:

http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/...ns_CD4800.1LX/

http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/...ns_CD2800.1LX/

but i know for certain those amps come from this factory. this manufacturer also enters his product line in lots of competitions all around asia and have been in business for over 20 years. won many awards as well from what i have seen. so his products have been tested out in the field

however, i cant find any kind of retail price in north america on the CD 4800.1 LX

would someone happen to know ? its probably a long shot that someone has actually used one as well, but i thought i'd ask anyway

i also came across the Sounstream 604 Rubicon, the original, not the last batch 2nd generation. he has like 50 or so in stock from a while back. you can even see the dust on the one i took a pic of. im gonna grab one for myself i think. hes not sellin those very cheap though from what i heard when talking about the price on it

there are some pics of a small stock room of older models and newer ones as well. some brands i never even heard of. must be sold only within asia or something

please post your thoughts on the internals etc.. any info is helpful THX!

hope the pics arent too big!

Wow! Very cool little "field trip". The bigger amp looks sorta like an AB 400.1, except the "dB Master" has a few more caps and a bit different of a layout...

I linkified those pics:

just curious, what brand is the AB 400.1 ?
i know FOR SURE that one brand that uses those 2 boards is Clif Designs,
and the model numbers are CD 4800.1 LX and CD 2400.1 LX
the problem is, i know nothing of that company and even on the internet there isnt much about them. they have a website, but no price list and i cant find out a retail price on ebay coz i cant find any for sale. im trying to see what they sell for so i can try and bargain with him. dont know if ill buy one yet, depends on price

You can upload the pics straight into the board if you want... click on manage attachments on the bottom of the post window and upload from there...

Isn't it really expensive to travel to South Korea? Have you looked at any of the Chinese amp manufacturers?

hi.
well at the moment, i using a computer with Korean Windows, so i messed you listing the pics. cant seem to get it right. i wanted thumbnails for you guys to see easier

also, i didnt come here just for car audio purposes, but i thought id venture around to see what i could find. so far so good. id like to be able to find the manufacturers here that make most of the PCB boards for some of the U.S brand amps. dont know about China. i've been there but the travelling and time would be too hard unless you knew where you were going. we all know the size of Chia. however, Korea is about the size of Nova Scotia, smaller i think and takes only 6 hours by car from the south to the northern tip to the Demilitarized Zone before North Korea, so its easier to move around. went there as well. you can take a tour right up to the actual line that divides the 2 countries with soldiers at a stare down with each other. if your hat blows off across the line into the North, dont expect youll get it back or try to,haha
Propaganda blaring 24 hours towards the U.S Army/South Korean soldiers saying how wonderful the country is. pretty freaky stuff!!

anyway, there are enough factories here to seach on. if someone would like one of the competition amps, let me know not sure his price but it wont be marked up and they are competition class amps that they use themselves in car audio shows/drags
