Infinity Amp Question
I wouldn't trust a box that was mass manufactured without thouroughly inspecting it. Even then, your better off designing and building something yourself, especially if you go ported because the store bought ones are ussually tuned ridiculously high. Also you will save yourself some decent cash. If you want sound quality I would stay away from kicker. Also those alpine type X's would probably like a bit more power, plus i think they only come in dual 4ohm so unless your amp is 1ohm stable you might be screwed. The 12" type r's could probably handle 650 each, and if you decided to go to the 15" they would easily take it (and get lower!), and both are offered in dual 2ohm and 4ohm.
For $1500 you should be able to get some pretty amazing subs. I love the Diamond Audio D6's that I have which can handle 700Wrms each, but they were bought of E-Bay with zero warranty, as there are no Canadian dealer that I know of. Check with Mr2NR or SmartAss they can probably hook you up and give you some better advice than me. Or check out the for sale section, there are usually some ok deals.

You definitely have some options with your amp. Most important though is the box, good bass response is all about the box. Screw up the box and you screw up the output of even the very best of subs. Add me to MSN or blast me an e-mail to forbidden@telus.net and I'll do some digging for respectable subs + box requirements for you. Kinda late for me to be posting (just got off of work) but I will be around tomorrow after 11:00 PST if you want to get ahold of me.
Wow dude $1500 thats alot. Bassworx this year came out with a pure SPL box that is made from 1" MDF ported box and would work very well with 1 single RE Audio SX series 12" that would handle all the power that amp puts out box and sub are roughly around $625cdn plus taxes. That setup would rock out really nice. The box has a fairly small foot print diamentions are 21.75Lx16Wx17.5H Thats all you need and if you want to come in a bit cheaper you could use a SE and get away with it. Now if you are bound to the stores and brands up there the Ultimate dealer should be able to get the bassworx box and then get one single Alpine Type X dual 4 ohm VC and then bridge it to get your 2 ohm load and you will be good to good.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I am trying to figure out shipping costs from Ontario and Courtney right now to get some idea versus buying locally. The catch is I just don't have time (working OT to pay for this and kids), the facilities, and knowledge to do my own install so I am going to have to take it to a shop to have in installed. I am currently feeling out some local shops to see how they are about putting other peoples gear in for you. I really appreciate all the time you have take to answer my questions.
It is starting to sound like one good sub (feeding 1200 RMS) would be more appropriate than two mid subs (feeding 600rms each).

The only issue I noticed with the 1230's was the tinsel leads from the connector plate tothe voice coil tends to get brittle over time and may break(very easy to fix). Otherwise, they were excellent sounding subs for very reasonable money.
