Unhappy Infinity Reference Series 311a no power?

Hey guys, I'm new to this and was hoping for a little help. So here I go... I just bought a new amp to power my two 10 inch jensen subs. My last amp was a shitty no name 600watt amp and i was using 12 gauge wire. So when i bought the new amp (Infinity Referance Series 311a) i just used to 12g wire to test it out and it worked fine. Then today i decided to install my new 6 gauge wiring. I got everything hooked up and when i went to test it there was no power to the amp, so I checked all the connections and they looked good, then i unplugged the power cable (the one with the fuse box that goes directly to the battery) and right at the end of the cable where it connects to the amp it looks black and burnt? Can anyone help? thanks !

Sounds like it touched ground at some point. Did you accidentally leave the battery fuse in when working on the amp?

Or have a stray strand or 2 of the +12V touch the ground terminal/car chassis?
Sounds like a trip to the repair shop (unless youknow how to check internal pico fuses, but that may void warranty).
Sorry to hear that.
