From what I understand on the Alpine website; you have to configure your search in folders to allow them to be displayed. There is 255 or 511 folders or playlists(depending on the model) which can each hold 255 songs. So, even on the models which can only display 255 playlists, you should be able to display 65,000+ songs. I will check it out and let everyone know.

yeah whats got me scared is my friend has a 60 gig ipod with 2gig on it, and whne i go file search its thinks like, recently added, popular, and ones named TOUCHTHIS (the name of his ipod) but when you click that it does nothing, and when i click folder search, it just shows 255 songs or w/e, and ALL his music is in artist than sub album catigories, so i dont see the issue.

yes prolifik is wrong... it'll just show 255 songs, but in fact will play more than that (748 songs is all I have on my i-Pod right now, and plays them all) yes navi is confusing and a pain in the ***, but there's gotta be compromisation at some point in order to have 60GIGS!! worth of music in your car..... You can make playlists and put 255 songs in each one to make it easier.... like for example 'Songs from A-B' 'Songs from B-C' etc. too navi easier....
