I don't like it..

mqqball 08-26-2004 04:30 PM

Not bad but I hate when manufactures have to label the "MP3" and "WMA" on their units.

JohnnyToronto 08-26-2004 04:57 PM

I like it, too bad all of their cool units are friggin huge 2 din units.

Toolman 08-26-2004 05:19 PM

I like it. Kinda reminds me of the older McIntosh unit.

...interesting piece... but you would almost be better off getting a "normal" deck with a good cd section and then rigging up a tube preamp...

JohnVroom 08-27-2004 03:49 AM

^ indeed but it so unique and it could sound good too.... or not

ex everything 08-27-2004 04:42 AM

Yeah the piece with the VU meters is neat but what if you use external amplification? USELESS.If you're paying this much for an HU you probably are going to match with high end amps.

JordyO 08-27-2004 05:02 AM

me likey... but, like JT said, not a fan of all the 2din stuff.

ex everything 08-27-2004 06:18 AM

How much screwin around to install a 2 Din HU in a Focus?

SUX 2BU 08-27-2004 09:23 AM

The Panasonic unit with the VU meters looks kinda cool but wouldn't you think they would want the volume and tuning knobs to be centered in their opening for the product shot Maybe it's just the pic but they look off-center.

noid_19 08-27-2004 09:45 AM

that panasonic unit is sweet!

JohnVroom 08-27-2004 09:55 AM

And the Panasonic is a meer kilobuck US $950 what a deal! They claim the 50 wpc amp to be high quality (well since it is the only panasonic car audio amp made it is easilly their best! The do have 2 pre-outs for exta amplification
