No frills power. Not bad amps at all.

Fabe 08-20-2004 06:04 AM

I would stand by them; they're good power for your money.

jbl is a gamble

This proves this guy has to be a joke. Apparently he thinks Pyramid is less of a gamble than JBL

wo, i did not say pyramids are better, i have no money so i opted for them. If I were rich like premium plus i'd go for precision power amps but thats just me.

Which amp exactly?

Jibles are a good place to start.

loudsubz 08-20-2004 08:51 AM

nothing wrong with them

put out more power than advertised, only drawback is the hard to tune internal crossovers on them

but there cheap, solid, reliable

what more could you ask for

i ran a 300.1, 1200.1 and 180.2 in diff times and loved them

JBL has something for everyone...

one line is no frills power, another is high end with some fancey features, and finally thier monster amp, which I think is the largest most powerfull amp on the market - plus it uses a new type of board topology.....

I'd vote JBL any day of the week....

My 1200.1 blew up. :(

I'd still buy another though if I had the money at the present moment, or maybe even one of the new BPX series... I think the Powervalve series are discontinued through JBL, replaced by the GTO series, but you can probably still find em floating around on ebay.
