JBL GTO5355 any good?
I am looking for a mid end affordable amp to start building up my audio. Is the JBL GTO5355 worth looking at? I found one new at a retail store for $249.99 on clearance.
I tried to search for reviews on this amp but was unable to find much. Any help will be appreciated. thanks! |
That's a good deal for that amp. 5 channel, 55x4(4ohm) + 300 x1 (2ohm)....you can build a good system with that. JBL makes solid equipment, It's CEA rated (meaning it puts out what they say), as far as sound quality...all good modern amps sound good! Good deal!!

I think user carfi4ever is selling this amp brand new in the box and you can have it for less than that. PM him.

he wants 300.00 firm (still a good price), but 250.00 is a steal.

Oopsy, I somehow mistakenly thought it was 250 regular price, so figured it would be cheaper second hand. Ma bad. |
thanks for the opinions.
I was also looking at used JL 500/5 amps. Any advice between the two? btw; I picked up the JBL amp just to be safe. It was the last boxed model, and I have 30 days to return it. |
Get the one that's cheapest with a warranty...both are good amps. The jl is more expensive and has a nice feature in that it can run from 1.5-4 ohms at the same power, so it's very flexible, but other than that, they both have about the same power.
