JBL or PIONEER front speakers?
I am stuck between purchasing JBL P660C speakers or pioneers TS-D1320C front speakers. Any suggestions would be appreciated I am looking for mid to really good highs for range.

i'd go with the jbls....i have a set of the p650c and i like them very much. are you going to be amping the speakers?
|
No amp.

You will need to amp those babies... been running a set of power 6.5's and they do need power... Currently I am feeding them 200RMS of PPI power per door and they have also ran on a bridged 4 channel that was doing 280RMS per door... Stick with low end speakers if you don't plan on powering them

I agree with Sinemeup.
If you buy an expensive set of components and don't amp them, They will sound like turd. But once you amp them you will be amazed by the clarity. Also not amping them and pushing them hard is a bad idea. If you buy a cheaper set don't bother. |
I am also wondering whether the pioneers are any good. Darin, I'm just wondering how much of a difference amping the jbl's or pioneers makes. Thank you for sharing your experience

The difference will be night and day.

Have u had jbl's or pioneers?
|
I have a set of the 650c. Make sure when you amp them amp them with a decent amp. I was running them with a 120.2 Rockford amp. Made a huge difference when I started running off of an MTX 4004. The bottom end was much improved... Unamped, I wouldn't bother..

i've heard both sets...and my vote is still the jbl but if your not going to amp them, try the jbl gto628s they dont need alot of power and sound decent
