Jensen VX7020 head unit?

Hi folks, first time poster here. Just want to say by way of introduction that I am a pretty novice guy when it comes to car audio, so please excuse any really stupid comments I might make

I was looking for a double DIN nav unit to replace the stock unit in my car. I'm really, really not particular about sound quality, amps, subwoofers, etc. My criteria were simple: I wanted something inexpensive (I'm not a connoisseur or audiophile); I wanted something with GPS nav; and I wanted something that would (hopefully) last a few years.

Now, I know that to get a real nav unit from a real reputable company (Pioneer, Alpine, etc), I'd be looking at shelling out at least $700-$800 (I live in Canada, so with the exchange rate and shipping costs and a 15% sales tax, things are more expensive here). So I bought an Eonon GE01 for around $300.

Well, that lasted all of about 5 minutes before the touchscreen went out on it. Now their tech support is telling me that I have to spend $70 USD to send the unit back under warranty to get a replacement unit (not a new unit). Before anyone tells me--YES, I know it was probably a stupid thing to buy this Eonon, but some people seemed to have good experiences with it, so I thought I'd take the risk.

So now I'm torn as to what to do. I could shell out another $70 USD and hope that the replacement not only works, but lasts a long time. What do you think are the chances of that happening?

My other option I was looking at was a Jensen VX7020. It goes for around $300 on Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/Jensen-VX7020-6-2-Inch-MultiMedia-Bluetooth/dp/B00KRLICIE). Yes, I know it is another "cheap brand". However, this one at least seems to have a fair number of reviews on Amazon, and they're mostly very positive. The VX7020 is their "top of the line" model. And remember, all I need it to do is last a few years, not necessarily give me top sound quality or anything like that.

So I guess my question is--what would you do if you were in my situation? Try the Eonon replacement? I would hate to spend $70 USD and then have the replacement crap out on me in 6 months (or sooner...). Or, should I not throw good money after bad, and go for the Jensen unit?

Or, do you think the Jensen would be another total waste of money, and I'd be stuck in 6 months with something else broken?

Thanks guys!

Jensens are ok if you manage to pay nothing for them. Their retails are already low, but you can always pay less.
Just aim for that and you will be fine, more so to make up for the unfortunate loss on the Eonon.

Get at me if you would be interested in some older Kenwood Models with Garmin Navigation, got some new and used for relatively cheap.
I'm in Calgary Alberta and could ship at your expense.
