JL 500/1 vs. JBL 600.1 amps

The power difference isn't very big considering the JL 500/1 is a lot more underrated than the BP600.1 (500/1 does about 625 on the bench, BP600.2 does about 650). If you have the money, definitely get the 500/1 because it's a much better amplifier in basically every aspect except that practically insignificant difference in power ...

The JBL is rated at 2ohms and a perticular voltage(not sure which, 12 or 14.4) and the power will flucuate as the impedance and the voltage does. This means you system will sound different when you first turn it on then it does an hour later (as the voltage drops)

I'd probably go with the Jl because it is of better quality than the JBL, IMO. Many more features on the JL plus fully regulated power supply, and it is very flexible for the fact that it puts out the same power at many different impedances. And they look awesome
