Anyone tried to wire ONE JL sub that's dual 2 ohm, wire up to a 4 ohm load and then back down to achieve a 2ohm load?

Is that even possible????
2ohm DVC--->4ohm load---->2ohm load

This make any sense?

Options:

1)Coils in series=4ohms
2)Coils in parallel=1ohm
3)Coils on each channel of a stereo amp=2ohm stereo

not unless you had two DVC subs. wire each in series to give u 4ohms, and then wire those in parallel to give you 2ohms.

You could use an impedance matching transformer such as the Accumatch to do this.

Cheers!
