I have heard it. I have also heard it in a regular ported enclosure. I've even auditioned one sealed if that matters to you also.

As for price, I was quoted $2000.00Cdn for a 12W7 in a H.O. enclosure from KHF in Scarborough.
And retailers wonder why people buy from Ebay?

$1500.00 for a single 10" in a box. No thanks! I'll take a DD9515 in a custom made box for that price, or maybe 3-Alpine type r 15" in a custom box or 4-Infinity perfect 12" in a custom box or ....

Better performance in what way? Different sounding in what way? A regular vented box doesn't compare to an "h.o" in what way?

Just curious.

They had one of those HO boxes for a 12W7 at a soundsaround here for a while. I took a listen to it.

It sounded like ****, but then again, everything at soundsaround sounds like ****.

So yeah, I've heard it, but no, I haven't HEARD it.

From what I heard, you can duplicate the output and the sound quite easily. It's just another addition to this killer SQL fad going on. Three cheers for SQ that's so loud it's not SQ anymore! Hip hip hoora.... guys? anyone?

haa, that was good! Remember about 10 years ago when all the disgruntalled reps use to say "spl is a fad" and "why do you want a car that hits 165db' (yes, that use to be loud)
Another wierd problem i noticed with this box. We did our usual install ( JL 500/H.O 10) in an escalade and the box soundid like crap. We built a custom box for 2x12w6 and it rocked! When i asked my rep, he said "we heard that box didnt sound great in bigger vehicles" any one got a theory? ....at first we thought it was cancellation due to standing waves and box/speaker/port placement. After moving it arround..we replaced it.
