I have a 95 mx-3 and am building a fiberglass box for the hatch. It is goig to house 4-10' s. Just wanted to get a feeler out as to what everyone thought. I'm on a bit of a budget so They'll probably be 10 W 0's or C 10's.
Always loved JL, but I thought I'd give kicker a try.

 

why dont you try DD, i herd their 10xx and 25xx series are great.

Agreed! Even the 35xx series will handle upto 2k per woofer! 4 25xx will hit harder then the Comp's or w0's by far. Providing you got some nice output on your amp.

JL is too expensive....Kicker sounds better IMO and are a far better value

I'd still love to hear one of those SEAS Lotus 12" subs....Supposed to rock with around 500WRMS going to it.

 

in that range I would have to say kicker, simply because they are practically free depending where you buy them, if you blow them up it would be super cheap to buy new ones. Both subs kinda suck though from my experiences.

Are you doing this for looks? or do you want it to sound good?

There are alow of low-mid end subs on the market right now. Alot of them would likely look better and outperform the Kicker CV's and JL W0's in the same price range.

The 25xx and 35xx series DD subs would eat both of those for lunch, and arent a whole lot more expensive to buy.
