And I'll agree with this.

 

I have the JL 10w6v2 running off a JL 250/1 and the sub can clip if the gain is set too high so if you use a 500/1 that would be overkill.

 

fyi subs don't clip amps do. also clipping isn't audible so I don't know how you would know its clipping...your probobly just refering to the fact that the sub sounds like crap and looses control when you crank it up due to the fact that your giving it a super distorted signal.

I had a phoenix amp that when ever it clipped it let out a high pitch kinda noise...its getting a new transformer at the moment
