Just installed my new crap

I just finished my install (for the most part) and updated my page with a few new pix. Now I'm just waiting for my dynamat to come in, so that I can finish that nasty looking rear deck. Never the less this new box turned out great and sounds nice and clean. Knowing that doubling my power and subs would only give me a 3-6 db gain I went for it.

This new system is stupid loud and to be honest I think that I when a little overboard as when I have only 12's and one amps powered up it's loud enough now that the subs are right behind the front seats, but what would life be without a little excess.

But why not put everything in the trunk so you still have a back seat?

The box is ported and tuned to 36hz using two chambers (one chamber per two subs), funny thing is that the port has only a 1 inch opening, I thought that there was going to be port noise for sure, but there is no port noise at all, I guess that the long width of the port helped to avoid that.

When I was running just two subs I have had everything in the trunk and it made grocery shopping a real pain in the butt, finding groceries a week later rotting under my seats with the way things roll around and fall off the back seats thanks to my crappy driving. I never used my back seat for anything other then storing crap and I thought that this might be a better move.

You should take the "old fart" for a ride!!! I bet if all that gear was in the trunk, you'd be dragging the new exhaust.

That car is smokin'.
