I was wondering if you need to have a shop to have a DB drag.....
If I got the SPL meter and the space could I do it?
I would buy trophies and what not.(I love SPL shows)
Let me know and I see what I can get going...

Of course you can. Shops are usually the most common to do it because they want to promote themselves and get the name out to car audio lovers. Otherwise anybody can host it. If you want to make it a official db drag or official iasca (as in the points from your event count) you would have to pay fees to db drag and/or iasca as well as get a official judge.

You can choose to do your own competition, you be the judge, etc. and you can follow db drag rules and just not have it a official sanctioned. (so the winner doesn't get any points towards the db drag world finals)

Don't let this discourage you from putting on your own show because anybody worthy of going to the finals usually does it quite easily.

 

You don't have to have a shop just a well planned event to get the people in. It can be done anywhere (with the ok of city or property owners) get some sponsers and see if the car audio manufactures will help out. Anyone can do it.

Trophies cost a pretty penny but the good news is DB Drag doesnt have a lot of catagories
