My brother worked for a place on cawthra rd in mississauga back around 91-93 that were making these kaption subs, at the time we never heard of them but he got a couple of subs and they slammed!

Was kinda wondering if this place was the beginning of kaption?

 

Hmmmm thats interesting re: where the subs where made (Mississauga - my old stompin ground - I actually went to Cawthra Park S.S. back in the day). I know Kaption is a Canadian company, but I thought I heard from some dealer that the subs where actually built in the U.S.? Maybe they switched locations later on...I dunno? Can someone shed some light on this....??? BTW I'm still in the "wearing in" stage with my sub, but the bass is really nice and it seems very clean sounding so far....

 

kaption was actually being first made in Newmarket/Aurora area out of the dude's garage and all subs were put together by hand

 

I had a pair of the old Pro Sub dvc 12"
back in the day. I had no complaints other than the dust caps coming off, but they performed very well!!
