Kenwood or Hifonics??
Looking to buy a new amp with about 1000RMS in either 1 or 4 ohms.
So far I have narrowed it down to: Hifonics ZXi-1008- 2CH 1000RMS bridged at 4ohm. Kenwood KAC-9104D- Mono 900Rms at 1ohm. I can get either amp for about the same price. Which amp would I be better off going with? |
Neither one. The Kenwood is very over-rated at 900 watts. The Hifonics will not give you the damping factor or the efficiency of a mono amp.
I'll assume that you have a dual 2 ohm voicecoil? Do you have any other choices? What is your budget? I'm sure that one of the sponsors here can help you. Maybe talk to Forbidden... |
MY budget is about 200-250$. I really don't have much money to spend, I am just trying to get something for now.
The other ones I had in mind was: Hifonics TXI7508, Power Acoustik BAMF-20001D If you have any other suggestions I would apprecate it. |
look at this post, there's some Sundown 1000d for sale

Holy sh*t, that's a great deal for some real amps!!! You should JUMP on that today before someone else does.
|
Will look into that. Thanks.
Also do you think either of these are good? Hifonics TXI7508, Power Acoustik BAMF-20001D |
