Kenwood KRC-99 (Kenwood KRC-999 MKII?)

12 Attachment(s)
So, i got a Kenwood KRC-99 (which to my limited knowledge is the same as the Kenwood KRC-999 MKII, i can't find any way to confirm this) for nice and cheap.

its not working however (thank god i got it nice and cheap)

tried my local car audio place, they sent it off to get repaired. the guy couldn't fix it. all he could figure out was;

the head unit controller appears to have a faulty function processor IC, i have been unsuccessful in getting either the IC and the service for this model, Kenwood Sydney (australia) claim they no longer carry parts for this model, i regret not being able to help with this one
just noticed on the report, where it says make/model he listed:

kenwood krc-99 ktc 7261 kac 5208
what does that extra stuff mean?

charged me for postage, so no problems there, he tried. i rang him just to see if i could get any more info out of him, he just said 'centrel processor - internal problem'

but, where do i go from here?

i can't find anything on the Kenwood KRC-99, anything at ALL.

i can't find any information anywhere for it.

did similar models of the era share parts? is there hope of canniblising parts from another older model kenwood krc?

pictures are of mine
