Kenwood KVT-514 movie help (usb)

Kenwood KVT-514 movie help (usb)

So, i'm trying to watch movies with my new deck i recently got, i have a usb hookup for it that's in my glove box, and a usb i have with a bunch of movies on it, i was wondering what format and how to get them to that format to watch them in my truck? right now it says "no media file" any help!?

Burn it to a dvd, sounds a lot easier.

I know that with my Kenwood unit, it won't play video files off the USB. If you put them on a disc they should work fine. Kenwood likes .mpg, but .avi divx encoded video should work as well.

yeah i just changed the extension on all the movies to .mpg, and they work now... lol i just changed like 7 movies to random extensions then saw the one that worked

That's good to know. I am going to have to try changing the extensions. You didn't actually convert the video file? So they are playing from your USB drive with the .mpg extension?
