My buddy went out yesterday bought the above mentioned, and sounds nice.. I looked on Eclipse website to find out the wiring options for the subs but couldn't find it, his subs are Dual 4ohm subs, when we got them from the store they where both in a box and wired to 4ohm load, if I am correct which 90% time I am not, would this mean each sub was running at 8ohm, then wired to get the 4ohm? and if so how do we wire the subs to give us the 2ohm? I wasn't sure if all DVC subs followed the wiring options so I'd rather check before screwing it up..., my 2nd question with the Kicker 300.4, it's obviously a 4 chanel can it bridge across channels? so your running just 1 channel like the L+ on channel A to right - on channel B? or however the setup would be? and if we are running them at 8ohm to each bridge left/right , would that seen as jsut 8ohm or considerd 4ohm stereo? not sure on that....

Thanks

The subs will be wired in either a parallel / series or series / parallel arrangement. This means that each sub will be either wired to 2 or 8 ohms and then wired together back to 4 ohm mono. Now you can wire each sub to 2 ohm but they will not combine to run 2 ohm. Leave them as they are. 2 ohm in stereo = 4 ohm in bridged mono.
I am not a Kicker dealer but I would think that yes the amp will bridge across the channels. It is usually accomplished by one channels + and the corresponding channels -. Note that you will only be able to use 1/2 of the channels on this amp, the other side of the amp will be used say for the front speakers. All in all this is the wrong amp to power these subs.

Yeah I was checking that out, but wanted to make sure all DVC subs followed the same wiring patterns first... before I cook them lol...

Sooo if I where to wire the subs back to 4ohm mono, then technically I should be able to Bridge Across Channels to have a 1 channel setup then but running 2 subs to give me my 4ohm load? Bridging channels I mean Channel A to Channel B to give me 1 channeL..

Yes, but remember though, a 4 channel amp will only bridge to 2 channel or 3 channels. You will bridge channels A & B together, channels C & D will be used for other speakers.

Ok, yeah that's what I was asking about was using the + on AMP1, and the - on AMP2 to make a single channel.....soo I know can't be done, just wanted to make sure first, 2nd) Right now each sub is wired 8ohm, and each sub is wired to it's on channel how does the amp see the subs as 8ohm each side? or does it internally bridge itself to say like 4ohm mono or stereo? This is where I get confused pretty damn easily! lol

Thanks for the responses guys .....

I checked out the manual on sunday for Kicker Amp bt since I couldn't find what I wanted, I figured I would ask since some amps 'technically" can do somethings they state they can't!

Thanks!
