Kicker ix 1000.1 and 2 jlw6v2 will it be sufficient?
i am ordering a stealthbox for my 2012 ram megacab and it come with 2 10" jl w6v2 and i currently have a kicker ix 1000.1 , i am wondering if i will have to upgrade my amp or will the kicker amp have sufficient power to run these subs ? thank you

you should be good with that amp , are your subs dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm

thanks for the reply ,
specs for the stealth box are "The Hard Data: Contains two 10W6v2-D4's in a sealed enclosure. 1200 watt power handling. Wired for 4 ohm mono. Installs behind driver's side rear seat. The seat folding function remains unaffected" specs for each sub are "Continuous Power Handling (RMS) 600 W Recommended RMS Amplifier Power 200 - 600 W Nominal Impedance (Znom) Dual 4 Ω" amp specs are "Power Specifications - Subwoofer Channel RMS Power @ 4 ohms 550 watts x 1 channels RMS Power @ 2 ohms 1000 watts x 1 channels RMS Power @ 1 ohm Not Stable Peak Power Output 2000 watts x 1 channels Amplifier Specifications Amplifier Class D Number of Channels 1 - Mono Total Peak Power Output 2000 watts Total RMS Power Output 1000 watts Maximum Input Gauge Size 4 AWG Minimum Impedance Unbridged 2 ohms Minimum Impedance Bridged Not Bridgeable Speaker Level Inputs No Preamp Outputs 1 pair Built-in Crossover Low-pass (LP) Low-Pass Crossover Frequency 50 - 200 Hz Subsonic Filter 25 Hz Signal-to-Noise Ratio 98 dB Bass Boost 0 - 18 dB Bass/Gain Remote Yes Fan Cooled No CEA-2006 Compliant Yes" |
if its an option to find another amp , perferably one thats 1 ohm stable that will give you the best result , only reason because at 4 ohm you wont be seeing alot of power , otherwise would running a single sub setup be an option , with that coil config its almost certain that a 1 sub setup would outperform 2 because of the impedance
