how much power can it really handle, and would it be safe running 2 amps to each vc?

 

power handling will be greately determined by the box you put it in. you will most likely be very happy with approx 500 wrms fed to it with any of the kicker spec boxes (download the manual from kicker.com).
you need to so some more research about impedence and amps and voltage and their interdependencies...
