They used to be fantastic, but then China...

U.S. made products seem to work the best for SPL. For SQ, I prefer product made in Eastern Europe.

For the money you can get them on Ebay, they are nice. Make some nice rattle, SQ is so-so for those who are picky, but for those who do not know any better they are excellent.

Hahahahahahaha I almost pissed myself on that one. So what you're saying is "Kicker subs are best for stupid people". Hahahahahahaha

I'm going to use that in one of my signatures. Thanks Sasha. You're hilarious!

The sooner you realize there is no "best" the better off you will be

Sure took me awhile.

They are certainly a good sub from all the reviews I have read, good output, well made, etc, but they are certainly not what I would call a high end SQL or SPL sub for that matter.

I myself fall into the " dont know any better" category, but nobody in this thread has called anyone stupid as far as I can see.

There are some people who can REALLY hear a difference in sound quality, timbre, nuance, etc. between even different brands of high end drivers. I can sure hear a difference in front components, but once we pass the medium end (regarding subs) then I personally cant hear much difference so I go by reputation, build quality, PRICE, etc.

I dont think you could go very far wrong purchasing Kicker, Rockford, MTX, etc.

Cheers!

John

lol I am not saying nothing vulgar like that, just trying to be aloquent and not **** on any gear, cause one man's garbage is another man's gold. Kicker subs are not bad at all. I've ran them before. They can still sound nice with some tuning and good box. I prefer a different tone out of my subs, so not running Kicker anymore. :P

I agree that there is not best but as for Kicker they are very good for money. I've been using kicker subs for years and a lot of bang for buck.

Ok, I was drinking. Sorry if I stepped on anyone's toes. I really almost pissed myself though.

I have heard many Kicker subs in the last 21 years of playing this game and gotta say...they've been through some changes, but are still innovative and still make it to competitions.

Well, they are not DD and yeah if someone did not have a chance to hear your subs, or other great gear, then Kicker is a good start.
