Linear Power amps
I have an old Linear Power 1502IQ amp lying around that won't power on. Is it worth getting fixed? Its a few years old already. Is it worth anything. My uncle used to power a set of 6x9's and a 12" sub with it back in the day and it sounded good.

you are ill informed, to3 outputs are still some of the most relialbe outputs and so long as the amp isnt 250$ to fix, i would at leat get an estimate done on it. what, for example makes the linear power techology ancient compared to todays amplifiers

Linear Power are some of the most reliable, well built amps ever. I wish I would have had the disposable income for the 4.1HVS that was on ebay a bit back.
i agree with Maxpower... the amp is useless and would only tarnish the illustrious remainder of your factory system!
throw it into the garbage box... PM me for the mailing address to write on that appropriately sized and well padded garbage box. i know it will cost you this way, but you really ought to make sure that amp in is the garbage in some other province!!

I couldn't comment on how worthy the amp is to fix - depends on the overall condition of it and what the repair bill would be. The 1502 was only 75x2 and he could find a decent used amp of that power for under a hundred bux.
I would agree that the 5002iq and 3002iq I owned had some of the nastiest internal wiring I have seen on an amp. It looked like a point to point tube amp
