Some mini-subwoofer porno for you sick freaks out there
Looks like a bit of competition for the trusty old RE8's. Took a 20Hz tone free air @ full excursion, no bottoming, no weird noises (actually, no noises at all). Now I want to build a box for it and see what it can do! Seems to perform pretty good for under $50US, probably under $45US now that the US dollar went down since I bought it (shipping and taxes in). Note: no the dustcap isn't bending under pressure, my cat stepped on it  http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...4_308_full.jpg http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...4_309_full.jpg http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...4_310_full.jpg And for comparison, the RE8. http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...4_162_full.jpg Side by side just for comparison again: http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...4_262_full.jpg [ September 08, 2003, 07:59 PM: Message edited by: chaos ] |

That thing looks wicked and well built for the price. Very tempted to try a few out for fun! Maybe a trio of em!

I think I might even pick me-self up a few.
Hey, aren't those little SOB's 8 ohm? ...nevermind, I found out. That's going to make a bit of a challenge with an 8 ohm only stable home amp. [ September 09, 2003, 09:56 AM: Message edited by: Chadxton ] |
